Experiencing GodDescription: This webinar is Week #12 in a 12-week series of webinars covering much of the material in Henry Blackaby’s book Experiencing God. You, your family, and your friends are invited to participate in this world-wide, online LIFE group.

What makes this LIFE group different than most, if not all, previous Experiencing God life groups around the world is that this one is online and integrates online journaling. Because it’s online, people from different countries will be able to interact live during each webinar. God is using this venue to build and unite a vibrant online community of disciples of Jesus.

You’re invited to join us for this amazing story of how God turned a family tragedy into a huge community and state-wide blessing!

My favorite surgeon in my 25 year anesthesia career was Dr. George E. Broman, Jr. George had a very distinguished medical career including two years of service as President of the Medical Society of Virginia. Our local high school football field is named after Dr. Broman. I had the privilege of honoring George with a personal PowerPoint at his retirement.

George and his wife Nancy had 4 children and 13 grandchildren. On November 12, 2002, Brittany Groover, George’s oldest grandaughter died tragically in a car accident at the tender age of 15.

The Broman family responded to the tragedy in one of the most loving ways I have seen. Their entire family rallied together to plan and launch the Angel’s Race Triathlon in Lynchburg Virginia in the Spring of 2003 in tribute to Brittany and two others.

Julia and I weren’t able to go to the 2003 Angel’s Race Triathlon because of prior commitments, but we did go in 2004. And that turned out to be my favorite triathlon of all time. It was one of the last ones I ever did. Tim Groover, Brittany’s father, said a beautiful heart-felt prayer for all the triathletes and their supporters before the start of the race. And Brittany’s sister sang the Star Spangled banner.

George’s family is one of the nicest ones you can ever meet. Now Tim Groover is going to share the story of how God turned a family tragedy into a huge community and state blessing. Brittany’s legacy lives on. Will you join us for this amazing story?

Here are questions that Tim will answer:

  • How was the Angels Race started?
  • How did the race help in the healing of you and your family?
  • What are some of the more memorable experiences you have had through the race?
  • What has surprised you most about the race?
  • How did you and your family feel about God when your daughter Brittany died so suddenly?
  • Where have you seen God’s hand in the race or in the lives of your family since the death of Brittany?
  • Other than the Angels Race, what are some other ways you believe God has directed your life since your daughter’s death?

Coaching people to journal to hear God’s voice is my sweet spot. Now, I’d like to invite you to take a big step forward in fulfilling your destiny.

Blessings to CHOOSE to step into a LIFE of abundance!
