A Spirit Blessing for Rest from Susan Austin

God wants us to stop trying to be loved because of our performance, and to simply Rest in the wonderful, everlasting Love He has for us.

Why is it so hard for us to Rest?

The Word of God tells us to Rest by “ceasing from our own works” (Hebrews 4:10)

  • 77% of Americans say they regularly experience physical symptoms caused by stress.
  • The annual cost to employers in stress related health care and missed work is estimated to be $300 billion.

While many of us struggle with the pressures and tensions of our daily life, we are actually created to rest, and to enjoy life from a posture of relaxation and gentle joy.

If you want “help ceasing from your own works”, then I invite you to watch this inspirational FREE webinar with Dr. Susan Austin.

During this webinar, Dr. Susan will discuss:

  • Why we so often feel stuck in the rut of rushing and performance-based acceptance
  • What functioning in our true design of rest looks like, and
  • Ways to cultivate this delightful posture of rest, which includes creativity, beauty, spontaneity and fun

To add to this savory recipe for the kind of life we were created to live, Dr. Susan will be giving you some insights into the Blessings of Adventure. While living in our comfort zone may feel safe, it is actually when we take the risk of attempting the new and unknown that we begin to realize who we truly are, and that what we are capable of is amazing and wonderful, and goes far beyond what we ever imagined possible.

We are so much looking forward to sharing these ideas with you.

It has always been difficult to rest in the Lord. I was always a major doer of life before becoming born again so it is extremely difficult to let go of that personality and walk more in the spirit and find rest in Christ.

Regarding journaling – I do prayer journals for self/others led of Holy Spirit but have not journaled the way Dr Susan or Pam spoke about.
